What's the point of the plane designer? If you want several types of fighters they as I understand have to be deployed in amounts of 100, so it seems to get to be focused in finally only use few types as manufacturing resources are finite. It is not possible to deploy 12 or 24 (I use usual historical sizes)? The meta is tons of planes, but a role-played game use fewer in selected spots. First one is if wings are type plane constructed? Do we know to deploy 100 planes for reconoicance tasks? It is not strange and counter intuitive. Regarding this matter, I have some questions. 100 planes is a lot for countries with smaller industrial bases, even a historical major like Nationalist China, especially when they must be distributed between multiple strategic regions. However, I do hope the devs are open to changing the size of the fixed wings from 100 to something smaller. But I support this decision in principle because I am happy to see the devs implement a straightforward, known-good solution to this problem and spend their time on the many other bugs that remain. It doesn't have to consider making air wings smaller instead of moving them, because making them smaller isn't an option any more.Īs a role-player, I will also miss the ability to set wing sizes at historical levels. If both human and AI players are distributing air wings of equal size between the available airbases, then the AI can use a less complex algorithm with fewer edge cases and far less likelihood of planes ping-ponging between two airbases. The devs have said that this was done to solve the very common problem of the AI overstacking airbases. Why not make task forces four ships minimum, then Operation Rhein would never happen! That's the same level as this new limitation. If as Germany we can attack Russia with less than 150 divisions, then we should have the option of where and how we want to base our air forces. The game is based on WW2 for heaven's sake. Sure, it's probably a peeve only a very few (or maybe just me) find problematic, but I find it close to deal-breaking. Not only does it blow immersion and role-play out the window, it also rids the player of a level of operational control. I saw a previous post on this subject, and it doesn't look like I'm wrong, but I didn't want to be lost in a reply thread and essentially ignored.įat chance, maybe, asking to reverse a design decision, but I find this greatly irritating. That is like me to miss something that's obvious to others, but if it is fixed at 100, then it should be changed back to the player's discretion and not artificially determined. ![]() Now, it's possible I've missed something. What if I don't want to reinforce to 100 fighter planes on a particular airbase? Or 100 anything else? I should have the option of setting reinforcement limits for particular air coverage zones. ![]() If this is the case, then this is blatantly ahistorical.
